Not many repairers are prepared to have the patience to patch and repair worn or damaged leather goods. It is a time consuming process often involving pulling the original stitching and lining apart first in order to gain access to the items problem. Then comes the challenge of trying to find a similar textured piece and colour of leather to patch the tear or damaged seam. Zips often have to be delicately unpicked then new ones carefully replaced. What can seem a simple repair to the eye can often take several hours of disassembly then reassembly to achieve the finished job. We can also often replace damaged locks on briefcases too.
